Indian Rice, Sugar & Maize Industry Meet
ISRMEX Team organized this meet on 10th june, 2009 at India Habitat Centre. The following were the guests of honour. Sh. Tarsem Saini, President, Federation of All India Rice Millers Association, Sh. Vinay Kumar, Managing Director, National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories, Sh. S.L. Chopra, General Secretary, Indian Maize Development Association and Dr. N.P. Singh, Advisor, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Brigd. Anil Adlakha Executive Director, All India Rice Exporters Association. The meet was attended by the presidents and secretaries of rice miller associations of 12 states, other key professionals and technology providers from sugar, rice and maize sector. There was a press conference at the close of this meet where the rice millers put forth their problems to the media.
On 11th june, 2009, ISRMEX Team also arranged for a conference of the rice millers at the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy where the Secretary (MNRE) Mr. Deepak Gupta, informed the rice millers about the benefits of cogeneration and the subsidy structure of the government to help rice millers set up cogeneration plants thereby utilizing rice husk(a by-product).
ISRMEX team also arranged for a meeting of the presidents and secretaries of various rice miller associations with Sh. Sharad Pawar, Honourable Minister, Ministry of Agriculture & Consumer Affairs Food and Public Distribution. |
